Waterlight 1 and 2 were the beginning of the glass works, the result of a creative
accident. "Happy Accidents", as I call them, are the mischievous hands of creation stepping in for a moment, bringing something new, a gift. Whether the gift will
be recognized and accepted is yet to be seen. I used to do a little cursing when a mistake would occur and hurry to fix it, until I learned that "mistakes" and
"accidents" were my perceptions more than they were facts. Now I feel anticipation, knowing there to be a great opportunity at hand. The only problem is that
once I discovered this I wanted to have it happen all the time, but how can one make a mistake on purpose? Art is an interesting process; there is always far more
going on than the visible.
