Over the years I have taught a lot of art classes in many different mediums. I am always on the lookout for new surfaces and simple exercises to introduce to my students. I had been using black roofing paper for chalk pastel classes and thought it might also work for oil paints. This is the result of a demo for my class; you may be able to see some indication of the tiny holes that are intrinsic to the product.
