The Magic Pond (detail)

One winter, a while back, I took a photo of our pond in the "back forty" and the tangle of snow on branches was quite exquisite. I half expected to find faeries skating about on the tiny bit of frozen water. I don't really paint a lot of landscapes, so this little area surely spoke to me. I would like to do this piece again at a future date with a slightly different approach, perhaps in acrylics, perhaps with faeries.
