The Invitation (detail)

I took a photo of Peggy's Cove the day after the wrath of Hurricane Bill had blown through. There was a fair bit of devastation but the calm waters of the Cove had returned, juxtaposed against the last few wild breaths of the hurricane in the background. It seemed incongruous. The red boat idling in the water, just metres away from mayhem. I think life's like that: it invites you to make a choice. VIEW higher definition photo BACK to Figurative Works
