Harbinger (detail)

I hope I accomplished what I set out to do with this painting. The title, as usual, is key. Is the black dog a harbinger of doom or a harbinger of joy? There's a great luminosity just behind and around the corner. Is it the light from the apocalypse or from enlightenment? For me, it can go either way.
