It wasn't until I was actually done this pic that I realized how rife it was with metaphor. It's actually overdone in the metaphor department. There's the black cats. The old crone. The stairway. The light, the cane, the seven separate steps. Good God; I almost feel like Dan Browne. Maybe I shall take a deep breath and look at it as some nice design elements in a pleasant composition.
